Another Crash, Another Death With No Seat Belt

Ervin Allen Giberson Jr., 27, died Saturday morning when the truck he was driving spun out of control, flipped and hit a utility pole.

Mr. Giberson was driving on Recker highway at the time and was not wearing his seat belt. According to the Florida Highway Patrol Mr. Giberson was ejected from the truck and onto the east shoulder of Recker Highway.

The impact was so great that it affected power lines, causing disruption for more than 10 hours while Tampa Electric worked to repair the lines. All too often Lilly, O’Toole & Brown sees the unfortunate after effect of a person not wearing their seat belt. Not only is it the law, it is an injury prevention precaution that saves lives. Sometimes an injury may be caused due to a seat belt, but more often a life is saved by its use. Buckle up every time.

Being reckless could lead us to accident. As an adult we must be responsible in every thing we do. Putting our life in danger could also affect our budget as medication can leave a major strain to our budget. We all know that our country is in the midst of economic crisis. Bank of America just can’t stay out of the headlines. Whether it’s Bank of America getting a bailout, getting slapped in a class action lawsuit, or getting into a tiff with Merrill Lynch executives over lying to them about the company they just bought, they get into the news. Oddly enough, just like the absorbed asset Merrill, they are being stung with requests to disclose their bonuses. It appears that they used the quick loans they got from the taxpayers (which they aren’t required to pay back) to pad their executives’ bank accounts. Mario Cuomo, attorney general of New York, and U.S. Rep Barney Frank aren’t happy with Bank of America for enriching themselves after they nearly went broke.
