Another Crash, Another Death With No Seat Belt
Ervin Allen Giberson Jr., 27, died Saturday morning when the truck he was driving spun out of control, flipped and hit a utility pole.Mr. Giberson was driving on Recker highway at the time and was not wearing his seat belt. According to the Florida Highway Patrol Mr. Giberson was ejected from the truck and onto the east shoulder of Recker Highway.
The impact was so great that it affected power lines, causing disruption for more than 10 hours while Tampa Electric worked to repair the lines. All too often Lilly, O’Toole & Brown sees the unfortunate after effect of a person not wearing their seat belt. Not only is it the law, it is an injury prevention precaution that saves lives. Sometimes an injury may be caused due to a seat belt, but more often a life is saved by its use. Buckle up every time.
