Seat Belts Save Lives in Polk Parkway Collision
Don Farlow was seriously injured on Thursday in Lakeland on the Polk Parkway, but wearing his seatbelt may have saved his life.Mr. Farlow was on the Polk Parkway and came into contact with a car driven by Dorothy Wagner. Mr. Farlow’s car then struck a semi truck driven by Michael Gibson of Holmes Beach. No injuries were reported for Mr. Gibson or Ms. Wagner.
Lilly, O’Toole & Brown handles car crashes on a daily basis and can tell people through experience that seat belts save lives. Mr. Farlow was trapped in his car and had to be extricated by rescue personnel. But without a seatbelt it could have been much worse for him and a tragedy for his family. The constant message is be aware, drive defensively and always wear your seatbelt.
